Swingin' Safari hosts surf writing afternoon March 30

Tim will be appearing at the Writer's Saloon, at the Swingin' Safari, Surfers Paradise, on Sunday, March 30. The Writer's Saloon is a free afternoon reading and talk by a local writer once a month. Tim will be reading from his latest book, "High Surf," and speaking about his 20 years working in the surf media. The Writer's Saloon starts at 2 pm on Sunday, March 30, at the Swingin' Safari bar and restaurant, on the corner of Thornton St and Gold Coast Highway, Surfers Paradise. Copies of Tim's books, "High Surf," "Bustin' Down The Door," and "Waves - great stories from the surf" (an anthology of Australian surf writing), will be available for sale and signing. The Writer's Saloon happens on the last Sunday of every month. Critically acclaimed award-winning Australian writers read from and discuss their work. Admission is free and bar, coffee and menu service is available. Other featured writers in recent months include Robert Drewe, Matt Condon, and Anthony Lawrence.
