Sure, it is a little self-indulgent I know, but what is the point of all this technology if we can't publish a few surf shots of ourselves?

This was going to be my album cover, if I ever got around to recording one, shot in Patagonia in 1994.

Stranded and surf starved in the little seaside town of San Bartolo, just south of Lima, Peru, where the infamous gorilla tackling episode went down (see recent work).

We built these bamboo huts on the beach in northern Peru and lived in them for a week before giving them to a couple of local fishermen. They were stoked.

This is a little reef in northern Chile I'd have to myself most days until school got out and it would be flooded by dozens of local bodyboarders.

This break is named after Oliver North, who supposedly had a secret retreat near here in Costa Rica. As seen in Endless Summer 2.

This is an abandoned rock climbers hut at the foot of Torres del Paine in southern Chile. Me pretending I'm Scott of the Antarctic.

One of the bigger days I've seen at Currumbin Alley. Ted hired a chopper to shoot photos and was shocked to spot me through his telephoto lens. Paddled for two hours for one wave.

An isolated reefbreak in Costa Rica, where my brother drowned a $5000 tripod trying to get from the boat to the beach.

Torres del Paine in all its grandeur with some gringo poser teetering on a precarious rock outcrop.

Another fun Chilean reefbreak in the north, barrelling over sea urchin-encrusted rock.
